If anyone is good with TV theme songs, can you guess these?

1. “Making your way in the world today takes everything you’ve got.
Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot... Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name, and they’re always glad you came...â€

Ranger Vee and usaftacp, 7. is Growing Pains. I'm sorry it took me awhile to post it, I was observing the display of "restraint" in the Introductions area. :)

O.k., here are a few more T.V. theme songs--

1. This life, that life, isn't any other. Listen to your teacher, listen to your mother. Faster, faster open your heart (open your heart). Let me in before it tears me apart (before it tears me apart). Help me up before we both fall down. Here's to people slipping down.

2. What ever happened to predictability? The milkman, the paperboy, evening TV. Everywhere you look, everywhere you go (there’s a heart). There’s a heart. A hand to hold onto. Everywhere you look, everywhere you go. There’s a face of somebody who needs you.

3. Through early morning fog I see visions of the things to be. The pains that are withheld for me I realize and I can see . . .That suicide is painless it brings on many changes. And I can take or leave it if I please.

4. Come ride the little train that is rolling down the tracks to the junction. Forget about your cares, it is time to relax at the junction. Lotsa curves, you bet - even more when you get to the junction. There’s a little hotel called the Shady Rest at the junction.

5. Come on now and meet everybody, And hear us singing, there's nothing better than being together, when we're singing. Five of us, and mom working all day, We knew we could help her if our music could pay.

6. Through the mirror of my mind time after time, I see reflections of you and me. Reflections of the way life used to be. Reflections of the love you took from me. Oh, I'm all alone now. No love to shield me. Trapped in a world that's a distorted reality.

7. We’re gonna do it! Give us any chance, we’ll take it. Give us any rule, we’ll break it. We’re gonna make our dreams come true. Doin’ it our way.
Nothin’s gonna turn us back now, straight ahead and on the track now.
We’re gonna make our dreams come true.

8. You and I know the meaning of amigo, we're not alike, yet everybody we know knows we're more than brothers, we're best of friends. We may not look, or think like one another, and there were times, when we have hurt each other. Still we're more than brothers, we're best of friends.

9. Boy the way Glen Miller played songs that made the hit parade. Guys like us we had it made, those were the days. And you knew who you were then, girls were girls and men were men. Mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again.

I think # 4 is Petticoat Junction. I used to watch it with Spring Byington and three lovely young daughters Bobby Jo, Betty Jo and maybe Billy Jo and an old geezer whose name presently escapes me.

You also, Ranger Steadfast, are correct.

Now does anyone know 1, 3, or 8?

Sorry, Ranger centermass, but Ranger Vee was correct, the answer is language. The three words are "the English language". I apologize for not confirming earlier, please forgive me.

#3 is M.A.S.H. The movie had the lyrics, but the TV show didn't (kinda of a trick question)

I do forgive you as your other half I'm sure is lurking nearby, however, in the battle of wits and solutions to teasers, by your own admission and statement "What" is the third word" was the original answer to this.

Somebody (one day I'll find out who "somebody" is ) took this and put a twist to it.

As I am old school, incredibly old and yet still here, you have no choice but to agree with me.
