Welcome. Don't let that 18X contract turn in to a "11B1P walkin my ass down Ardennes street looking for a job" contract. You need to seriously work for that one. There are a lot of SF babies that dont make it through SFAS, and being a cherry, the odds are stacked against you.

On the other hand, there are a lot of joes that do make it, so don't ever give up. Be a sponge, soaking up all the info you can. Good luck.

Yes sir, Ranger RiserBurn! Thank you for taking the time to post a reply and I appreciate the advice.

From reading SITREP's on here, and judging by my recruiters verbal amazement at my pre-initial meeting research, I must say that I've truly been surprised during these initial stages at the lack of initiative and overall unpreparedness that many who are pursuing such lofty goals (OPT 40, 18x, etc.) seem to possess...it just befuddles me.

On another note, I'd just like to say thank you for letting me come in here and be presented with this great opportunity and privilege.

As for a brief introduction, my name is Justin, and I'm currently attending the University of Louisville here in Kentucky. I'm twenty-one and majoring in Criminal Justice and have after much deliberation, looking at various career fields, decided to enlist after graduation under the "infamous" 18x IAP.

I'm truly looking forward to communicating with and learning a great deal from the Rangers and wide gamut of other members that reside here at the ArmyRanger.com forums.

I'm confused?

Both jlells & jelly have same bottom paragraph just worded slightly different.

Both jlells and jelly have same IP, attend same school, have same major. Both name know Ranger's are dumb asses and jlells has said he ain't kissing no Ranger's ass. Did any of you guys ask him to kiss your ass yet?
