Hope it goes the way you want to. I had a similar encounter with my father when I was 18-19 years old. Some dads think it is ok to get physical with their sons because it is an easy way out, compared to reasoning with them. I struck back also, self-defense, after several attacks and never had to face that sort of treatment again later. My bet is you will not have to either. I never had to go to court over mine and hopefully your dad will tell the district attorney that he was wrong and caused it and to not press charges.
Good luck. Sometimes a tough deal for fathers to recognize their sons as men. I would guess a fair number go this way.
Giving DEP leadership back to Weidert...

Yea... It's the state of ohio hooking me up with this charge...
I am praying to the man upstairs as well as this Airborne Ranger in the sky I keep hearing about!! Me and my dad are ok, he said he feels like a jack ass for calling the cops now. He also is getting the same charge on him. Thanks for the help Rangers!
If you guys both have the same charges against you that can work out in your favor. If both of you guys refuse to testify against the other, you have a good chance the whole thing will be dropped.
In Washington state we used to hook both....it was counterproductive bc of the reasons stated above.
So talk to your dad, and get your stories straight!!!
