The red car is a '72 Camaro RS, 454, 6 speed. it was mine. I sold it about a year ago.
The green car is my '69 Chevelle. 427.

The black car is my uncles '69 Mach 1. I built him a motor for it.

Those are just the current or recent cars in the stable..[/quote]

Jake,

What's up with the "Air Raid Horn" in the front yard?

The "Air raid horn" is part of the tornado warning system..

It is FOOKIN' LOUD!.

We had some nasty weather blow through when I first moved back to TX after leaving the military, I was staying at dad's.

About 10:30 at night that damn thing went off, and I was awake but it WOKE me up.

The '69 Mach 1 has a 393 stoker motor based off of the 351W.

It is QUICK.

I'm not a big Furd person, however, that motor is pretty sweet.
It would give my 427 in the Chevelle a helluva a race.

Dad sold the '68 for $12.9K

We've been flogging the Mustang lately. It is a 4 speed car and since it is my uncle's me and dad have been driving it.

We got the new motor in,
I drove it to work for a week to break it in, make sure everything was in order.

I had been progressively driving it harder every day. By the end of the week I was doing some pretty hard driving.
I went to dad's on Saturday and told him "You gotta drive this thing, it runs like a big block.."

So we took it out to our local "test area" about a mile away, and dad drove the shit out of it. Banging gears, WOT through all 4 gears, 6500 rpm shifts.
We got back near his house, in the residential area, and easing along it started knocking BAD.

Oh Shit
Did we thrash the motor?

When we stopped it weas pouring water out underneath.. I'm expecting to find a hole in the side of the block.

Luckily,
The new water pump couldn't take the rpm and had spit the bearing out.
So no big deal, we bought another water pump, and decided maybe we should drive it easier :D

My first "official" car was an 85 Camaro supersport. Had her for 7 yrs. I miss that car. Before her I had a '65 2+2 with a 289 hi po, bored 40 over. Pop said I had to give it to him to add to his '67 GTO but that was the most glorious 2 weeks of my life.
