My Intro
Hey all, my name is Sam, I'm 16 years old and currently a student at Heidelberg Amercian High School in Heidelberg Germany.
I'm the son of a Ranger and am currently working towards being able to enlist after my graduation in '06. I had planned on enlisting this summer when I turn 17, however my father'll be deploying to Iraq soon after we move to Baumholder in June and my family would like me to stay an extra year to help run things back home.
I joined the site to learn more about the unit and if possible get some feedback on the different training schools that I'll need to prepare for if I can and if not I hope to gain atleast some knowlage on what to expect.
Thanks in advance for any help you offer me!

Hey all, I'm sorry, I forgot to state that I am a part-time student at the High School...I attend JROTC at the school but the rest of the day I'm Homeschooled. This is one of the main reasons for my joining, as homeschoolers are treated differently than regular high school grads I was hoping to recieve some information from anyone who may have been homeschooled or would know the requirements for homeschoolers to earn an Option 40 contract and anything else needed for me to hopefully work my way to my goal of serving in the Rangers.
