How to get your title changed repeatedly

Post by astudent »

I am a supply soldier stationed at Fort Benning. I am currently stationed with the 3rd Infantry Div at Fort Benning. I came to Benning to join the Ranger Regiment. I called the Ranger LNO-SFC AXXXX [Rest of name deleted by moderator] who told me they are in dire need to supply specialists. He told me that I should do the 4187 and get a packet sent to him. I will have been on post 1 year at the end of Dec. He told me he would try to get me.

My situation is that my unit HHB 1-10 FA is due to deploy for Iraq in Jan 05. My unit wants to make me the supply SGT for our unit over in Iraq.
A Ranger who got sent to my unit from 3rd Bn told me go for it, but our SGM said he will delete all 4187s and that everyone is going to Iraq.

The Ranger put in for SF and told me he got accepted. He has a tab and the scroll on his right shoulder.

My question is what is the best way of getting out of my unit and going to RIP.

First off Rangers don't wear their tab on the right shoulder. If he is he is either fucking wrong as 2 boys fucking or he is a fucking wannabe.

Second your CSM can't cancel 4187's. Fax it directly to the Ranger LNO and let it go from there. Just back door your chain of command if you know that they are going to fuck you. But make sure that you get a RIP date in Jan or Feb so they can't make you deploy with the unit.

Third, MAKE A FUCKING INTRODUCTION!

How to get to 3Rd Ranger BN

Post by astudent »

No, I don't think you know me.

I did'nt make myself clear to the tab and scroll. He has a tab on his left above the 3rd ID patch and he went to OEF so he has the scroll on his right.

The RIP packet states that " It is required that your commander sign the 4187, but it is highly recommended to get his signature."

Thank you for the advice. I did'nt know that our CSM could not cancel a 4187.

What do you mean by make a fucking introduction? :?

Get yer ass over to the introduction section and look at the FAQs. The rules of this board is to make an introduction so we know who the hell we're talking to.

Go do it.

How to get to 3Rd Bn.

I have another question. On the US Army Human Resource Command website in the 75th Ranger Regiment Volunteer policy it states on d. "persons can be involuntarily assigned". Is there anyone who can explain this policy?

Thank you again.

You will also refer to every Ranger on this board as Ranger i.e. "Yes Ranger Bell I will post an introduction. Read and follow the rules of the board or you will not be here any longer. Understood?

How to get into 3rd Ranger BN

Post by astudent »

Hope all is well Rangers. Here is the post script. I am now serving at (edit TW). I still want to go to the 3rd BN. As a soldier serving in a combat zone who wishes to do what I want to do what advice can you give me other than the obvious. I realize I will have to get in shape out here and study the Ranger Handbook and come back in one piece, anything else?
By the way it has been quite an adventure so far. We drove(edit TW). It was a (edit TW). I am standing on a (edit TW), but I honestly prefer it. I work (edit TW). I work (edit TW). Pray for me. I ain't to proud to ask for it Rangers.

Kinda wondered what happened to ya. You sure talk about you a lot. What about that 4187? Guess ya didn't follow orders and back door it?

Drive on Soldier. You're doing a good thing.

Still turning in 4187's? You want it bad enough.....you'll get it.
