Thank you for this great post! It blessed me to read it and to see your support for your husband.

As a parent, I get much the same response from people - no support, lots of fear and questions that wonder why do this? I tell them he has chosen to do a great thing, because that is what is in him to do. It is where he belongs.

This site is the best antidote I know of for the grief that the unsupportive give out. Glad you are here!

Far from inappropriate! That sounded like something my wife would've written. She has been by my side for 20 years, through my army life and two law enforcement careers. That is great! The biggest group of supporters we have are our spouses and parents (even in-laws). We should really do a Hall of Fame to recognize them here somewhere. Mods is that possible??
