My first language is French (born in Beirut) but it's been so long I can read and understand but I can't write.

I fully agree with that. You should get more involved. Try looking at the other areas as well.

Thank you all, this is a really well set up site and you guys are what soldiering is all about. The Rangers are the only unit I know of who perform a similar role to the 2eme REP. There are of course many differences between the two units but also a lot of similarities. I have read your Ranger creed and it is similar to the Legionnaires code of honour. I appreciate you all allowing me to participate where I can, however I understand that this is your forum and I will keep my postings to just what I know.

Ranger Pafsanias I will definitely look you up if I am in Athens.

Best regards to you all

Eggbanjo (nice name) I was in 4 Para in Norton (near Middlesboro) in 83 I never did PCompany as I left before to join the REP. I have a lot of friends from the Paras and certainly knew a fair few who turned up in the REP. Drop me a PM and I will almost certainly know your brother or if not he would probably know me and I will no doubt also know the guy out here in Algeria, is he also ex legion or Brit army?

Best regards
