USO

My brother told me this story when he got back from Vietnam I thought you make like it. It seems that way back in 69 the USO brought a traveling circus out to entertain the troops. Complette with highwire girls in skimpy costumes and even a ring master with white pants and a red jacket with tails. A...

Many of our squad leaders and platoon Sgt's wore the octafoil on both shoulders. I took the time and learned fro...

Ranger steadfast

Well Ranger Steadfast I think there are some mountains younger then you. I was just becoming aware of the war and politics in 1969.

Thanks

Thanks but I think I probably have a few years on you. Your service dates are in the 80's and I had been out for a few years by then. Hell I even have five grandchildren including one by my son.

I agree

I agree with you I was talking about the Pentagon breifings, and my own ability to figure things out. I know the mission standards and abilities of different groups and how they might be deployed. I don't want to know more then that. You know dad's worry too !

By the way

By the way for now I will just call my son by Gabe275. I never know how much I can say so I say nothing. I have a question on that topic, I am smart enough and know enough about the millitary that I pretty much know where my son is going when he leaves because I keep up on the breifings. However I d...

Thanks Guys

Thanks for making a dad welcome. Luna, Steadfast, Preach and you others make a guy feel accepted. My time in service was really nothing to big. Three years of humping 81 bipods and base plates around Yakama Firing range is all. My son survived two hurricanes at bragg, damn near 100 jumps and a no ta...
