I have been told that the word Fuck came into being in the 18th century as a result of British police officers arresting prostutes and charging them on their report...

I remember thinking that my son would have a lot of training and such to do before he would deploy when he first entered the 3rd Battalion. Three weeks after entering Battalion he earned his combat scroll and his first arcom. It seems to be rather fast paced in the Rangers.

I agree with Ride Grrl's post concerning Ranger Dublo's description of what it feels to be a Ranger and I appreciate that I have read it. Thanks Ranger Dublo.

Voice Mail

I was trying to reach my son on his cell phone recently and he always has a funny recording on his voice mail that he changes every couple of days, but I really have enjoyed his last one. "Hello this is _ _ _ _ _, hold on just a minute please." Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom ...

Thanks for the answers Rangers and Veterans. I was thinking maybe true blue was that he had both the CIB and EIB, thats why I asked him which would he wear. I will be sure to properly congratulate him our next conversation. I would also like to say he now has three rows of ribbons and medals to wear...

EIB/True blue Question?

I was talking recently with my son and he has just recieved the EIB and that he was true blue. I did not think to ask him what he meant by true blue or if it means anything at all. I tried searching for an answer but could not find anything relating to the EIB and true blue. I was hoping someone cou...

Thanks for sharing that with us Ranger Bell. I have witnessed how the Rangers take care of their fallen and I can not describe the emotions that I feel when I see how truely close these men are even though they might not have ever met. The same thing is shown on this site as I have been treated with...

Last time my son was home he showed me some take down moves and had me choked out in seconds. I am glad he is a good kid, as I know my days of paddling his ass are long gone. His take on the weapon issue is if he has a weapon there is no reason to grapple.

Ranger Bell, you will find me living in Rockwall just east of Dallas. If your travels bring you close to DFW by all means contact me. It would be an honor to buy you a beer, hell I will do better than that, I'll barbecue us up some steaks to go with the Beer.

When my wife and I were first married she had never been camping in her life but she took right to it and really does enjoy the outdoors. Our best vacations have been camping with our kids in the Big Bend National Park. You can backpack for days there without seeing anyone or having anything to both...
