Thought I would update my status here.

Went to MEPS, got a 92 on the asvab, 129GT and 119CO scores.
Ship July 6th with an opt 40 contract.
A little disappointed with my PT, my APFT score is hovering around 250 still. Going to take that one short step at a time. Just got to add 1 rep to my PU a week ...

Good advice Ranger Bell, and no I'm not trying to be a smartass. I guess I'm just chompin' at the bit so to speak, desire to get in there greater than my common sense for a minute. Moderators feel free to delete this thread.

Rangers I apologize ahead of time if this is in the wrong section, but it seemed like the most appropriate place to put it. If someone else has asked a similar question that I overlooked with the search button feel free to verbally bitchslap me and tell me to find it. :)

SF is honorable...but becoming a ranger first will provide you with experience you cannot get from reading books. Alot of former batboys get into SF, after a few years in the regiment. It is alot easier to deal with adversity when it is the only way you know.
