Alright.. done. 12 pounds, 1.5 inches, 4 days. I have eaten hardly a thing since Lunch on Monday and I've been running 8+ miles/day. Just had a little granola last night because I was starting to feel like I was going to pass out when I stood up. Going to keep it up through Friday for extra measure....

Re: Ray80 sends some excellent advice to our DEPs
Use the PX trip to buy extra shit for your wall locker display. It's a sneaky way to be more squared away than your "Drill Private" peers at OSUT. I figure the best advice is good advice followed, but I don't really know what this means. Wall locker display? I've done a search and not com...

Would Zero-Pain be beneficial for a Soldier/Ranger?
Interesting story about a girl's condition where she feels absolutely no pain... It got me to thinking... would that be beneficial or not? For instance, if they could make a pill to duplicate the effects of this disorder for a period of time, would it be a good idea for a Soldier to take the pill? ...

Almost there...
In order to tape in at MEPS, I have to lose about another 1.5" around the gut. I've come a long way, but I'm still a fat ass and still have a long way to go before I'm RIP-ready. That first milestone, MEPS, however, is within my grasp and I want to get it done before Thanksgiving. So, I'm solic...

Have some questions for a chaplain...
I'm really not sure where to post this, so I apologize if this is the wrong spot. I've been trying to find some contact information for a Jewish chaplain in Ft. Benning, but I haven't found a good resource with that information. I have some basic questions regarding some religious matters and to wha...

The Inheritance
Because he was going to inherit a fortune when his sickly, widower father died, Charles decided he needed a woman to enjoy it with. Going to a singles' bar, he spotted a woman whose beauty took his breath away. "I'm just an ordinary man," he said, walking up to her, "but in just a wee...

Slots for schools and promotions will be affected by how much time you have left in the service. Thanks for the advice Ranger Bell. I don't think I will make it a permanent career as I think that would be asking too much of my wife and family, however, I do want to accomplish as much as possible du...

Term of Service
I've been discussing the length of service with my recruiter and also taking into account the admonitions that I have seen on this board that if I desire anything beyond being a private that I need to go at least 4 years. However, I'm wondering about how re-enlistment might work, especially for one ...

Windows Media Player doesn't have a DVD Decoder.. do you have any other software installed? I'd say the easiest way for now would be to download the InterVideo player.. you can get the trial version and it'll work for a while, but it's got a pretty cool capture facility... http://www.intervideo.com/...
