I went to meps again today to finish of the enlistment process. My opt 40 contract that I thought I had dissappeared out of my eyes. No airborne,no ranger, no mos change as I was previously told that was set in stone, I know how the Army functions somewhat since my prior service status.

Well he did just come back from iraq in march. He spent over a year in that sandbox and he wanted his only son to exp. the same sand box.

My old man secured a recruiter that secured my opt. 40 contract with airborne. It not impossible to find what you want. Just keep going around to different recruiters untill you find what your looking for, thats from my previous exp. Also my prior service is with the NG so that doesnt have much ...

DO NOT JOIN THE GUARD!!! If you care about your military career. Only join the guard later on in your career if you can hack the 20 years and still want to get some extra retirement points. If you want military exp. then you need to be in that lifestyle 24/7 not one weekend a month 2 weeks a year ...

25Feb99 enlistment date.
25Feb03 was my discharge date. Thats what it says on my NGB form 22.

With a CSM as a Father he pulled some major strings to get me my Option 40 contract with a new mos.
