Hello my name is Matt, I'm 23 years old, i have 45 credits in mostly science dominated subjects. I work in a hospital as a nurse aide and have worked previously as a EMT.
Moving from my current location back to my home state to talk to a recruiter and enlist as an 68W with aspirations of a Option 40 Contract. Looking forward to searching through the forums for much needed education.

Re: Introduction-Matt
Welcome Matt,
What have you found here so far about 68W? Any luck with your recruiter?
What made you want to join now? Why not complete college work?
This site is a bit slow, but it has decades of information to back up that bit of slow we have...

Re: Introduction-Matt
Thank you Ranger Disinfertention and Ranger CharlieRanger1FFV for the response.
Ranger Disinfertention: What I've found so far about 68W is that is a long and tough road to the rangers but a well worth it endeavor. It seems that they are highly regarded if they put in the work. Also that Ranger medics haven't had a preventable death in the last 20 years......
I took my asvab last week and currently my recruiter is trying to sway me in 16 different directions. However, I'm holding out for a 68W option 40 contract no matter what. This seems to piss him off.....
I've always has aspirations of joining the military it just took me a while to finally realize that the path to the rangers and as a ranger is the path I will take.
Thank you

Welcome here Matt. Hold out for what you want as far as an Option 40 contract. You hold all the cards at this point, if they don't give what you want go to a different recruiting station. Always capitalize Ranger.
