Option 40 25 April 2013

Post by PerryB »

This afternoon I checked the request system and called the Recruiting Command Operations center. They do have a few Option 40s available but only for MOS 27D and 92L. Why in the world they would have 92L with an option 40 is beyond me. They do have plenty of 18X for those that qualify. Haven't seen any 11X with airborne either. Option 4 has been with MOSs 42A, 92G, 88M, and 92R.

Hope this update helps some of you out.

Thanks for the update PerryB. Very strange MOSs for Option 40.

The 27D (used to be a different MOS code) isn't that wierd. At one time there were 6 paralegals that were V qualified in the whole Army and they were all in the BN's. JAG is handled at the BDE level, but the BN's have always had to work independent of a lot of that kind of support.

As far as the Patroleum cat...my guess is the support BN. Opt 40 gets them fed into the system.
