Currently I alternate running 2 and 4 miles every day and I do 6 sets of pushups and situps each day. I also do a back routine every other day and I make it a point to ruck atleast some distance every day.

2 mile tempo runs do nothing for helping you improve your run times. In terms of cardio endurance you need to run 5 miles or more. Interval runs help with muscle strengthening and endurance. Alternating from 2 mile runs and 4 mile runs, unless they are interval runs will not help you improve quickly. On a side note: you will hardly ever be doing a 2 mile run in RASP if you get there, unless its for a PT test. The ruck runs aren't even that short. Work hard and stay with it, its worth it in the end.
