Post by jmc2282 »

my curresnt pt scores are:
pushups 71 in 2 min
situps 106 in 2 min
pullups 17
2 mile run under 14 min

The workout is:
variations of pushups 20 sets of 20 reps
variations of situps 20 sets of 25 reps
dips 20 sets of 15 reps
variations of pullups 20 sets of 5-10 reps
variations of squats and lunges 20 sets of 25 reps
circuit. no rest
and running 5 days a week for 4-6 miles as fast as possible

also found a weight training routine that looked promising and was wonding if any of you guys/ rangers have tried this.
2 months of muscle building/strength training w/ pt workout
6-12 exercises in a weight training circuit with 5 sets of 6-12 reps

after 2 months of that, then

3 months of endurance training training w/ pt workout
6-12 exercises in a weight traing circuit with 2-3 sets of 20-60 reps

Since it's site SOP, and good manners, to make your first post on the site in the Introduction Forum, I moved your post here. You may want to give everyone a little more information about yourself.....other than you have feet of lead!

Welcome.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction Ranger.
My name is Jacob, I am from Scottsdale, Arizona and recently i have become very interested in joining the army and trying out for the regiment. My grandpa was a marine and served in both WW2 and Korea earning a silver star, bronze star, and purple heart, my dad was in the 2nd battilion around 1974 and 1975 and after he got hurt he became a land nav. instuctor. Both of my uncles also served one a marine helicoter pilot and the other army infintry i think. So it is pretty much in my blood to be a soldier and i really dont know what drives me to become one but im going to blame it on that and "deo et patriae". I am currently in high school and when i graduate in 2012 i plan on enlisting on a Ranger contact. oh.. and I promise not to post any 'vs' questions. Lol
