not that this bozo is ever going to see for himself, since obviously he's going to find basic a mite bit too challenging.
In '75 we were running company formation 5 milers in 40 minutes wearing combat or jungle boots.
It kicked my ass, but it's doable by ordinary fellows with guts, no need to be an olympian, just an airborne soldier.

Call me crazy, but compared to the average PT session every other day of my Ranger life, the days of the 5 mile standard run was considered a DAY OFF!!

If the notion of 5 consecutive 8 minute miles scares you, shit stick, you should save yourself the emotional trauma and stick to your day job in the toy department at Walley World.

Fuckin' weak, man. Probably just some pimpled-faced, Half-Life-playing joystick-Ranger without the balls to survive a week of Basic Training.

Monday morning Battalion Formation 5 milers, that was the easy run of the week!

It was p.t. at the Platoon and Squad level that really smoked.

Olympic mile time is about 4 minutes.
\

Dont think so Soldier Darksaga. More like 3:20. Kid that holds the High School record is like 3:43.

Actually dumbass the world record is 3:43. It is not on record to have been run faster. You can see it here and you can also go to Guiness World Records and find it there as well. Darksaga was correct. The average olympian runs around 4 minutes.

It's all good.
