I have IMAX tickets to a showing that begins in 2 hours! Can't wait..

I saw the History Channel background on the battle(s) that led up to this story.

I went to 300!

I went alone but the theater was high class. 40 seats total with reclining seats that turn down to a bed if you like and a table. I had my cigar and two Guinness extra stout before the show in the waiting bar. It was great. I ordered a small snack called the Last Samurai and a third Guinness for the movie. They brought it at the beginning. It was Chinese with two types of dip. Each table has two seats and I see this good-looking lady with three boys being ushered towards me… Well turns out her 12 year old boy and two friends got dropped off to see the movie while mom and dad went to dinner. So this kid sat next to me, at least he was intelligent and the three of them kept silent. When he made a remark about how cool the fighting is I told him that it’s not the fighting but the honor and discipline that count.

So after all these beers I had to go piss and the kid filled me in on what I missed. I made sure to go before they left Sparta and got back during the march. The kid told me “you didn’t miss any actionâ€

Fuckin' awesome! The theater was packed, many jarheads, vets and grunts.. once the flick started, the audience went quiet and were stunned by this awesome movie.

IMHO, the timing on this movie couldn't be better..

It was my understanding that this is only going to be in theaters, meaning no DVD release. Someone outside CONUS may be able to get it.
