No anyone, with any MOS, can go to Ranger School......
As long as they have a Dick and the balls that go with it.....
Well, yeah. I understand that any cook, baker or candlestick maker can be a Ranger, as long as they pass RS, but this one didn't make any sense at all to me. If he had said SON-in-law, I'd have let the whole thing drop. But a split-tail? Nah.

BTW, my son is the 3rd Ranger in our Family. My husband was a tabbed Ranger in the 1st Cav, and his grandfather was one of the Merrills Marauders.

It is a lot like the Army's policy of "don't ask, don't tell". We know they are "special" and "different" but they served and that is good enough for us.

Hey Boudicca, you know why Texas hasn't fallen into the gulf?

By the way, where are you in OK. I was born in OKC and lived in Norman, still have family in Ardmore and up Tulsa way i think.
You know I think they're "special" too. Bless their hearts!

I'm in Tulsa, and I'm afraid to ask about why TX hasn't fallen into the gulf? (I'm a Longhorns fan, and if you're from Norman, soooo...O-Who?)
Something to do with Oklahoma sucking so much....oh and welcome. I visit your fine state twice a year for the Tulsa gun show.

Wanna hear something strange? Our telephone installer at my work told me his daughter-in-law was a Ranger! To which, I of course, said "no, she wasn't". He said she had told him she was, which I replied, "then she lied to you". Then he told me she had worked at Walter Reed, as well.

Now, I don't know everything about Ranger support and their titles, but I'm pretty sure you don't get that title unless you have 11 digits.

Welcome

Sarn't Major....Jesus, help me, that's what she fucking meant when she said "11 digits"!!!

Count 'em.

She didn't mean the 11 series...fuck it, I'll just do your fucking push-ups for you.

Hello Boudicca,
Welcome to ArmyRanger.com, thank you for the numerous lifetime sacrifices you have made as wife and mother to your Rangers.

I have read your posts, I am truly in awe of these amazing and informative posts.

Rangers, please forgive me if I maybe straying out of my lane, but as I read your posts Ma'am I cannot help but think to myself she reminds me of Ranger Rock Island Ranger but of the female gender.

Ranger Rock island Ranger- I mean this as a hugh compliment.

Thanks, Jenny

I've had the nickname for awhile now. And oh, aren't you the smart one, you are. Figured everyone would just think it was my name, didn't count on a Scotchy bein' here. And you pretty much labeled it well.

Thank you.

Well, thanks Jenny. I am different than most Okies, I guess. My son said his Drill Sgt called me high-speed for my letters to him in BCT. My chest puffed out with that a little, but one could have hardly noticed :D

Guess I'll also have to read more posts by Ranger Rock Island so that I can see the comparison myself. From what I can tell he has an intellectual humor, I really appreciate that.
