Oh please, spare me the whole "Fighting to defend assholes like you" scenario... I'm just as patriotic as the next guy, but when I'm insulted, I don't think it be justified for me to STFU just because you wear a tab. Let's not forget that I am going to serve 8 years, and I can't wait!

Here's the deal.
You both still get the same chance as every one else.
Join up, become officers and see how your platoon of 19 year old OIF vets give a fuck about your intellect or your store bought fucking black belt.
Also, start brushing up on your excuses as to why your Sergeants have Ranger tabs and you don't.
When men like that don't give a fuck about you it means something.
