Funny my daughter is just learning about the indulgences in history. Talk about clouding the picture.

As for tithing, some of the mega-churches in the ATL metro actually have the gall to do a credit report on you and decide how much you will have to donate weekly to be a member.

I keep hearing a P.T. Barnum quote running through my head.....

Why anyone would actually want to be accepted as a member of such a church is beyond me...............unless there is some phenomenal secular benefit for members only.........
