Puck, you have to be kidding. I wish I accomplished half the shit you have!

To those that worry about my mental well being, try not to worry. I have been a "70%er" all of my career so I only have to forget about 10 good habits to be a full fledged civilian.

SB, Welcome to the club and thanks for your service. The fun really begins when you get into the fray on civilization....It's entertaining to say the least and not difficult to stand out even as a 70% :). Let me know if you need anything.

Congratulations on a well deserved retirement and thank you for serving.

My father put in 26 years (I only did less than 10), and he was retired for about 20 days before going to work for KBR and is again in Iraq, the AStan, Kosovo, etc.

Perhaps another batch of cigars for this occasion? :D

May GRITS richly reward your years of service by blessing you with all you need and most of what you want and not so much of the other stuff.

Congratulations. Want a position with the 75th RRA? The perks are lousy and there is no pay, but we can sure use some help.

All joking aside...the leadership perpetuation continuum is in place here. In a career, a worthwhile career a good soldier influences soldiers to climb higher, work harder, carry more and to lead by example. No greater legacy in leadership can be attained. No greater mission accomplishment. And at several locations throughout the globe and for the next 10-20 years, men will say things like..."I had this TL, SL, PS, 1SG named Gronke, godDAMN he was tough! Great leader, changed the direction I was heading, taught me things, inspired me, led by example, mentored me, showed me how it SHOULD be done"....and those men will pass on excellence to others.....there is no greater mission, no greater legacy, no greater mark of success. Good on you Monkey Dude. Very good. 8)
