If you missed it, Remington is finally getting around to admitting to bad triggers on their rifles, mostly 700s. Rifles are firing from moving the safety to fire to just having the rifle bumped. Remington has known about this for 60+ years now. CNBC did an investigation called "Remington Under Fire", highlighting memos, videos, and several deaths. Remington's fix was the X-Mark Pro trigger, which is now recalled. I witnessed a 700 fire with a safety moved to fire only (no trigger pulled) while hunting. Sniper school and my platoon's SOP was to have the safety always on fire, and to have the bolt up if not firing. Check your serial numbers online.
