Hey Rangers,
My name is Brandon; I am 18 years old and currently work at a Consumer Electronics company in Southern California. I’ve spent a good amount of time on the website today just reading and absorbing as much information as I can and I will continue to do so. Currently, my plan is to get into the necessary physical and mental shape before I go speak with a recruiter about an 11X with Op. 40 contract. I hope to be ready in a few months’ time, and then live out my goal of being a Ranger.
APFT Results:
• Pushups- 52
• Situps- 60
• 2 Mile Run- 15:40
Goals before speaking with Recruiter:
• Pushups: 75
• Situps: 80
• 2 Mile Run: 14:00
I am working on creating a solid training regimen right now incorporating a lot of the programs posted by Ranger Silverback regarding pushups and improving overall APFT scores. Thank you for taking the time to read this Rangers I will now stick to a lot more reading and PT rather than posting.

I would not hesitate to start working with a recruiter now. You have to take tests to ensure you are qualified, as well as a physical. I assume you are a HS graduate. Please tell us why you want to be a Ranger? Never, never quit!

Re: Intro
Thanks for the reply Ranger Jim, I will certainly get in touch with my local recruiter now to take care of all that. Correct, I did graduate from HS. I want to be a Ranger first and foremost because I feel I need to serve my country, I've always wanted to be a Soldier and when I made the decision to follow that dream I wanted to be with the best. I wanted to be highly trained and highly motivated and know that the guys around me all wanted the same thing, to be the best they could possibly be and then some. I know being a Ranger is where I belong and I won't quit until that is a reality.

Brandon, not sure if you are aware of our search feature located on the top right of this page. Most of the questions you might, were likely answered at least once. Read all the FAQs, as well as select stickies and threads. Never, never quit!
