Ranger School Question? - New to site!

Post by Rangermom387 »

Hi all! I'm a Ranger Mom and new to this site. I am hoping I can get a question answered. My son is just about ready to end Florida Phase. What day do they parachute into Benning? We'd love to see them return. Also, any ideas on their time off the week of graduation? I had heard somewhere that he might get some time off on Wednesday and Thursday. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks! RLTW

Welcome here, Ranger Mom !!! Always an honor to have a Ranger parent join our site.

I'm just an 'ol " Cold War " era Ranger, and alot of things have changed, but Ranger School students jumping back into Benning after completion of Florida Phase would be a new one to me ! I think they just truck and / or bus back. ( Of course, us older Rangers had to road march back with 95+ pounds rucks. 8) )

I am confident, however, that your young Warrior will have plenty of time to give you several calls, coordinate a link-up back in Benning, and I have no doubt he will be very, very proud to have you present when the coveted Black & Gold Ranger Tab gets pinned on !

Thank you for raising such a fine Warrior.

I just got a letter from my son, he got his GO for Florida! He said he'll have some short passes a few days before graduation, but didn't mention jumping into Benning. We are so proud of him!! RLTW!

Oh, yeah, I forgot. We had to road march back to Benning from Florida barefoot as well. 8)
