Introduction from Ranger Bradford

Post by Ranger Bradford »

Greetings to all.
I am Ranger Bradford.
I joined our Army in 1978 and headed straight for the 1st RGR BN.
Upon leaving the recruiters office I thought I would be jumping into fight forest fires on different posts!? And on top of that I would make an xtra $50. a month!!!!
Upon arriving at Ft. Jackson I was quickly squared away on that little misunderstanding.
Realizing I was in way over my head I quickly buddied up with an annimated, prior svc recruit who filled in all the missing pertinent info.....like just exactly what I had joined up to become. You dont "Do" Ranger you become one. Anyway..this annimated vet took me under his wing and we made it through basic ..airborne...RIP...to Bco of the 1st BN together. This vet's nickname was Ozzie. aka
pvt. R. Grenier.
I served in the 1st Bn with Rangers R. Grenier, T. Phillips, B. Lane, R. Gardner and a bunch of other colorful men who helped to shape my Ranger attitude and my present condition...twisted and confused!

While lurking and reading posts, I entered "Grenier" into the searchbar and loved what I found.
BTW...Ranger Grenier is alive and well....he and Ranger T. Phillips are in my custody here in N. KY.
I read Ranger Grenier some of the "I am a dog face.." quotes and he loved it.

Having a couple of Ranger buddies living close to you has its perks....Ranger Grenier and Phillips can now help me recover from my latest 9mm boo boo.

Thanks for having me.

Welcome...

I certainly agree with the thought on your signature. That rat bastard deserves an asswhooping no matter how much time has passed. A food thief should not be given a statute of limitations.
