That weapon looks good, how much you got into it so far?
Does anyone know if California state law allows for ownership of something like that?

Nice pea shooter. I'm waiting on a barrel, and when it comes and finish my build up, I'll post a pic or two.
Affirmative on the Kalifornia magazine comment. There are special lowers for Kalifornia. Check here for more info.
Check out ar15.com for some other build tips for those who aren't sure if they want to tackle the job. Very enlighten on all aspects from assembly to the law.

Just register it as a Short Barrelled Rifle.want2race wrote:Excellent link. I visit AR15 regularly. Good info on legaleez and build ups.
I nearly made this one into a 7.5 inch barreled pistol. Unfortunately I didn't specify pistol on the yellow form.

I'm still mid-build, but I'll post some pics when I'm through.
I've got a stag lower with the ACE Skeleton stock on it. I'm using a Rock River flat top upper with ARMS #40 low profile rear sight, a Rock River 16" mid-length gas barrel, chrome lined. Yankee Hill mid-length4 rail floating hand guard. I've got a GG&G flip up front sight gas block with bayonet lug, although I'm having problems with it right now (hence the mid-build). If that doesn't work out, then I'm going with Yankee Hill's flip up front sight rig.
I've got 10 mil-spec magazines, taped with 550 loops sitting in some mag pouches just itching to get filled and emptied repeatedly.
When I save up some more pennies, I plan on adding a Eotech 552 to top it off. If I win the lottery, I'll be talking to Surefire about getting a can for it.
I'm not sure what is more expensive, being a computer geek, or a gun geek.

Of course, all things are pipedreams until budget comes in to alignment. Shit, If I could afford to do a Class III lower, I would add that to the list. It's gotten to the point where a psychotic gun nut just can't get any really good toys anymore
