sorry if this is a repost, but if you haven't watched the trailer for 300 you can check it out here.

Click on the 'media' link and hit 'trailers'. This one looks killer!

Lusus,

THere was a post about this in the mojo a while back. I'll definitely be seeing this on opening day as well. I only hope "Gates Of Fire" looks half as good.

They're making "Gates of Fire" too? I know there was already a version from the 50's or 60's.

Just finished reading that book again, I watch the 300 trailer every morning for a little motivation.

I will definitely be seeing this in the theater (I've heard March). The trailers have been great to watch.

300's has a Myspace with several videos hosted of behind the scenes. They also provided server space, boosting picture hosting from something like 12 to 300 photos. Shear genius. They also have desktops and screensavers and shit...

I cant fuckin' wait.

You're thinking of "The 300 Spartans", bro. "Gates of Fire" wasn't written until '98.

The book rights have been purchased by Clooney, with the intent to make a movie.

No, I mean the only 50's or 60's film involving the Battle of Thermopylea (that I know of) was "The 300 Spartans".

I know it wasn't based on "Gates of Fire", because that book wasn't written until 1998.

George Clooney? Fuck...

I'd like to see Peter Jackson direct that with a bunch of unknown actors. George Clooney? Goddammit... The irony of it all was that the Spartans (professional warriors) strongest allies in that fight were the Thespians (whom fag assed actors trace their ideologic heritage too)... Until Clooney and his horde realize and repent of their treason, he has no business even touching that story.

I wouldn't mind seeing Ridley Scott or the guy who did "Troy" do this one.

New trailer for this HERE

Trailer 2. Some of the same scenes, but some new stuff. I've got a pretty decent system at home, and it took awhile for it to load on the 172 mb file size, fyi. I let it load and came back about 5 minutes later.

This movie is going to be outstanding.
