Agreed. Leverage the time you have and get what you can from it. Wont be the last time the Army screws you over... that sucks though. Did you have any med waivers to get into the military?
Ranger Disinfertention I didn’t have any medical waivers, I was held over because the Army lost my records and found them last Monday. I did get word from one of the NCO’s here at Airborne hold that all the RASP guys go to pre-rasp Monday morning.
Sounds like you got it figured out by what you posted in discord. Keep on it. Remember what you set out for and don't lose sight of your goal... Never quit.

-Reflections and Forward Thinking-
I made a massive mistake Thursday night, I ordered food to the barracks under the impression that doing such a thing was authorized. I took the blame for the entire class and in the process ended up saving several people’s place in the course. It cost me dearly and instead of still being in RASP 1, I am now in the transitions platoon where quitters and others who were dropped for various reasons go. Being dropped was for the lack of better words painful. It feels like everything I spent the last two years working towards was all in vain. I want nothing more than to be back in the pipeline, embracing every bit of suck the cadre would administer to us and suffering alongside my peers. I wish I would’ve known in the moment that I was breaking a rule that nobody...and I mean nobody knew about. However I can only focus on the actions I take next. Will I let the circumstances surrounding me break my spirit and turn me bitter or will I drive on and make the best of it? The next step starts with me owning my decisions and accepting my new reality. I messed up big time and there’s not much I can do about what happened besides appeal my drop and hope for the best. If an appeal falls through and I’m sent off to a duty station outside the 75th RR, I need to have my mind in the right place. That means not succumbing to being mediocre in whatever I do. Not making excuses or offering myself shortcuts. I’m going to have to work extremely hard to get back to where I want to be. It’s a long road ahead of me but the harder path is the one that pays. Squaring myself away and being better every single day will get me closer to my goal of returning to the Ranger pipeline. There’s no feeling sorry for myself, the cards I have were taken away and I have to play with a new set. Three words sum up the mindset moving forward...MAKE IT HAPPEN

Hey Ty,

There is a lot for the Army to offer you and you it. It's easier said than done coming off of something like this but you've got the right attitude and you need to do you best to keep it. Go learn the job. Hopefully find some good leadership or even become a good young leader, and reapply or do something else worthy of your time in the Army. Let us know when you get orders!

Got an update for y’all, I’m getting sent to the 101st Airborne Division in just a couple days. Getting sent to a unit outside the 75th wasn’t part of my plan but I’m eager to make the absolute best of it and return to the pipeline when I can.
