Introduction: Chuck

Post by Chuck » March 2nd, 2019, 8:52 am

Hello rangers, I was just assigned to 3rd battalion, finishing rasp this week, I had an account before I shipped to basic but I can't get into my old account so I had to make a new one, a question I have is what can I do as a brand new 11c showing up to battalion to make myself look more squared away?

Chuck,

Shoot me a PM with your original screen name if you can remember it and I'll see if I can square it away.

I'll leave it to Ranger @Disinfertention to provide the 11c advice.

Welcome back and congratulations. Oy! Showing up as a new 11C? Any advice from 1988-era is practically worthless by I now I imagine, but knowing the nomenclature of every piece of equipment would be handy, as well as the specs: i.e. weight, ranges, fuse types, blast radius, etc; being able to articulate how to do every element of the job (at least be able to demonstrate that you've got your shit together), and being ready to hump a heavy load fast and far. And in general terms, know you're entire chain of command ASAP.

Know the basics and be an expert in those basics. That is sound advice from Ranger Lunch and applies to all things in the military. If you do the basics well, you're going to do good things as all else comes with experience.

I'm not sure how much traction there was on your old screen name. I will hit up Ranger CM before I start your in-processing.
