Greetings from an Old Grunt

Post by Old Grunt »

I have been a member here for years, but haven't posted in a long time. I hope some of you FOGs will remember me, but for those who don't, I'm Old grunt, a former combat vet with the 1/11th Infantry.
Just a plain grunt, although i spent a considerable amount of time as a recon specialist with HHC Recon platoon 1/58th INF at \Harmony Church supporting the Ranger School as an Aggressor (what you would now call "OPFORS").
Hello to all!
Sorry to hear about Ranger Steadfast. He was a great man and will be missed.
Hello to Ranger Bill, Ranger Silverback, Ranger Centermass and all the good people I've missed over the couple of years I've been on walkabout.
I'll write more later. It's late and I'm old. If i don't get my beauty sleep I may lose the youthfull blush blush I've managed to maintain all thesr decades.
RLTW!
I wanted a mission...
and for my sins they gave me one

As you can tell OG, most of us old dudes don't post as much as we once did. Jim does his very best to keep us going, but sometimes we don't cooperate very well. Hope all is well with you.

Welcome back to the patrol base brother. The collective memory here is long, even when people come and go. Like one big dysfunctional family or something.
