Usually in the summer I'm unemployed for two months (High School JROTC), but I volunteered to do some archeology digs. Today we went deep back in the dark forests of Lee County, NC, and checked out the Endor Iron Furnace. This beast is four stories high, made of cut sandstone, and was the main producer of iron for the Confederate armory in Fayetteville. Coming upon it was like coming upon some Mayan pyramid in the jungle.
Pretty cool.
What did you do today?
