I was curious so I went over to goinfantry,com, you were right KH, I almost gt sick. some dude in the Air Force was explaining how his wife should be able to wear a combat patch and he should have a CIB. I didnt last 10 minutes.

4th Brigade of the 10th Mountain, stationed on the flatest piece of ground on the entire earth, and then sent to Afghanastan and expected to climb the most rugged Mountains around.

As much as I am against this badge, it will be nice that we will stop hearing people who are not Infantry crying about not getting a CIB. I have listened to it for the whole 20 years I have been in.

That same scenario has casued the plane to crash in the past. The chute raps around the rear fin and the pilot can't properly steer it. One situation resulted in everyone bailing out of the plane before it crashed because of a chute opening just like that.

When I went through in 89 we lived in the new barracks, but I was lucky enough to get to experience Mountains twice (not), and while on holdover we lived in the green shacks. They were still standing.

msg_dman intro

I am an active duty E-8, Ranger class 12-89, RI in C CO, and Merrills PSG at 4th RTB, served many years as Line and Scout PSG in 10th Mtn, went to Somalia and Haiti with them. Also ran 10th Mountains Pre-Ranger for a while. Now assigned to USASOC.
