Re: Introduction - Tony
Thank you Ranger Steadfast. I will definately check out the Q&A forums. Will my size fault me in the process at all? I have been told this by 2 recruiters now and to be honest it doesnt matter what they say, I will still do and achieve the goal. They are just saying I wont even be looked at? Do...

Re: New Age Limit
Almost back to what it used to be at 34. I was still on numbers when they upped it to 42. I guess now that everything is winding down they don't need the older guys anymore. That sucks, but I understand the game.

Re: 68w option 40
While it does happen, the best bet is to have it garaunteed in writing. If they called the ROC, then they truly do not have it available to give. What you do from now until the new fiscal year is on you. Remember what it si you truly want and if you decide to go another route then that is on you. Pe...

Re: Option 40 + GED (Without college credits)
Ain't nothing I need to add as Ranger K.Ingraham has told you the standard. Any Soldier worth a shit prides themselves on doing whatever they can to complete a mission. Your mission is to get an Option 40 contract. Since you have to be a HS grad or grad equivalent (a GED is NOT equivalent in recruit...

This is what happens when the Army actually starts filling up. I'm sure you have been briefed what to do if the job you want is not there.
DO IT and do NOT let anyone punk you into taking something you don't want.

Re: Got a date
The barracks is quite boring dude, so take your POV if you can. Anything other than that can be improvised as long as you follow the current packing list for TDY Soldiers.
I got People going to your class so I may come down and jump with you all at then end. Not sure yet.

Re: "College First" Option question
I have not seen anyone guaranteed an option 40 with college first because you joined, because you had to go back a year later to make your job reservation for the year after when you actually left for training. The jobs are not loaded up front, and you would not be able to have any advantage over th...

ROC, is the Recruiting Operations Center at Knox. They are the people who load jobs for enlisting, and work with DA for assignments for prior service people coming back in. Some of a branch manager for Future Soldiers if you will.

Good, and in 4 months, you can become a beast physically. You should have the APFT and your long runs down, and you could probably be moving into rucking. Good job, though.
