Re: Introduction
Jesse, We don't care to talk with you, we certainly don't care about what you have to say. Most of us know your story, hell I've had a good laugh at it on several occasions. Your's is a story we like to use as an example, to show oxygen thieves the consequences of their actions, and that's all it wi...

Re: Army Ranger earns longest applause at State of the Union
Tough, Wasn't calling you out brother. The majority of rumblings I've heard after the SOTU have been along the lines of "I hate that he is being used in this way", I just wanted to provide my prospective. Just one example: http://ideas.time.com/2014/01/29/the-state-of-the-unions-most-despi...

Re: Army Ranger earns longest applause at State of the Union
It saddens me that Cory's appearance is now being called a political ploy, or that he is being used as a pawn. Cory's recovery has been nothing short of remarkable and his appearance on the SOTU was a fitting tribute. In the last couple of years there has been little to no media coverage of the War ...

I have been working on my PT for about six months, and they are 3 mile run in 30:25, push ups 85, sit ups 82, chin up 22. I will take any and all advice from any Ranger that is willing to give any. You will need to improve your run time. The slowest you should be running a 3 miler is -24:00, your r...

Re: Finding out if someone was a ranger
Josh, thanks for your service. Just some quick questions: 1) Is this person using his Ranger status for financial benefit? 2) Is he using his experience as a Ranger to gain benefits that he would not otherwise warrant from his military service? 3) Is this a personal vedetta against this individual? ...

Re: Need Help for a Novel I am Writing
Welcome to ArmyRanger.com Sir (I assume you're a sure by the ReconColonel handle) It sounds like the character is a "tabbed Ranger" in this story. If you don't mind telling us a little more about the premise of your book and what exactly the "Ranger's" purpose within the novel wo...

Re: Veteran detained for anti-government Facebook posts
Well let me be a little more concise. If I know someone that I'm "Friends" with on Facebook and he's posting about secret places that the Government holds prisoners and torture and rapes them, not to mention that he is doing this on a public forum where Parents, Grandparent's, children and...

Re: Veteran detained for anti-government Facebook posts
Going to the back rooms on forums or talking with your friends over a beer is one thing. Getting on Fagbook, when you're friends with your niece who is playing Polly's petting Zoo, and spouting off at the suck is totally different. Maybe I'm just tired of all the bullshit I see posted on there...or ...

Re: Veteran detained for anti-government Facebook posts
Yes, people should be held accountable for the shit that comes out of their mouths...or their computers. One of my major "pet peeves", at this point, is the impunity with which people spew shit from their Facebook pages and use it as a platform for subversive rhetoric under the guise of fr...

Re: Recycled Again
Recycled twice, if I remember correctly, is a day 1 restart. Should be coming up on a Best Ranger break as well, but maybe he'll get recycled into a class before that begins. As far as a recovery period...that's a negative (depends on his Chain of Command) but hopefully you'll get some time with him...
