Re: SITREP - Andrew
Rangers, I have a brief update on my status, but not much. The office responsible for handing out Airborne slots, I found out yesterday, misplaced the 4th copy of my PT card given to them. As of today, I am still no closer to getting an Airborne slot than a month ago, but there is at least communica...

Re: SITREP - Andrew
Yep, you have a better attitude than I had when I read your post! I would still mention it to any Ranger LNO's there. Like I said, they have had an issue like this at Sill where guys get stuck in limbo for way too long. Roger, Ranger Disinfertention. I'll see the Rangers on Thursday for our ruck an...

Re: SITREP - Andrew
Really? You have an OPT 40 right?... Clearly... why are they holding on to you for 2-4 weeks. That is bullshit. Not to say you need to go nuclear on your PSG or anyone. But why are they holding you at your AIT for that long. Talk to the Ranger LNO there if you can - they are having some of the same...

Re: SITREP - Andrew
Rangers, Our graduation is complete. I got Soldier of the Cycle, and it was fun to enjoy some time with my battles one last time. It turns out I'll be a hold here for an undetermined amount of time. I'm waiting on my Commander to slot me for Airborne. In the meantime, I've been earning promotion poi...

Re: SITREP - Andrew
Rangers, This will probably be my last update until graduation as we wrap up everything. This week we conducted the GAFPB. Last friday we conducted the German BFT, an 11x10 meter sprint, a flexed arm hang, and a 1000 meter run. I got gold in all three events. We also conducted the 100 meter swim in ...

Re: SITREP - Andrew
Sounds good Andrew... Glad you are staying ahead of the curve on all your testing. Keep it up. Who's your Ranger rep out there? PM me their name when you get a chance. Roger, Ranger Disinfertention. PM inbound. I remember those hills well, and the altitude is going to really help when you get down ...

Re: SITREP - Andrew
Rangers, It's been another slow but successful week here. I tested out of another module early this week, so one big step closer to graduation. We start GAFP-B testing next week. We also finally got to start PT with the Ranger liaison. We had an about 6 mile ruck through the mountains on Thursday. R...

Re: SITREP - Andrew
Ranger Disinfertention, I ran a timed one on a track over HBL a couple days after Christmas at sea level in 31:21. I really want to get it down to the sub-30's. Mentee LionsDen I don't see many people pull that off. I can think of 1 guy I used to work with who did it on a treadmill for sure, not su...

Re: SITREP - Andrew
Rangers, Good news from the PT test! I got my best score here, 80 pushups, 87 situps, 12:08 2 mile. Nothing compared to my basic scores, but considering I picked up weightlifting again and gained altitude I'm happy with the progress. I didn't test out today but we have three more opportunities. Just...

Hey man, eating Army food for months...you earned every Oreo Ball. I don't have that excuse anymore but I would have done the same thing anyway! You can't drown a horse in the water you take him to drink. Write that down, it's gonna be a famous quote some day. Roger that Ranger Disinfertention 😂

Re: SITREP - Andrew
Good to hear from you Andrew. The first few times I had time off I went home. It wasn't a waste of time but I learned many of the things you are seeing and learning now about that. It took me awhile but besides family there is nothing there for me anymore. Try to travel or go do something fun next ...
