Re: Women In Combat Arms Roles Research Project
Ranger Fatboy, My peers found the facts I presented to be very interesting and felt that I made a good case. My teacher, however, still seemed to be on the side that women should be allowed into combat arms roles. Unfortunately, he's one of those equality at all costs types who doesn't care so much ...

Women In Combat Arms Roles Research Project
Hello Rangers, last spring I did a research project on the recent decision to allow women into combat arms roles. I learned a whole lot and am very thankful for all the responses I received on a thread I created. Below is a reflection/report of my findings: While researching both sides to the argume...

Re: Introduction-Will1701
Sorry Ranger Jim,
I made the mistake of thinking the thread I created to get Rangers to put their input into and for me to respond to would be enough. I will type up a couple paragraphs or so as to my findings and post it into the mosh pit thread.

Re: Women in Combat Arms Roles
Thank you Ranger Jim. I have actually read about how women could soon be registering for the draft. I do find it funny how some women will say men and women are equals and should be able to serve in the same combat roles that they want, but they don't want women to register for the draft. To address...

Re: Women in Combat Arms Roles
In my research of women in the military I actually came across the account of Sgt. Leigh Ann Hester's actions. Really incredible valor from some of these women.

Re: Women in Combat Arms Roles
Ranger fatboy, The project is definitely going well. I researched all those terms you provided, I'm certain they will be very helpful in my presentation to the class. Currently, I am waiting to hear back from Senator Blumenthal who represents my state on the United States Committee On Armed Services...

Re: Introduction-Will1701
Thank you Ranger CharlieRanger1FFV. Rangers, just out of curiosity, have any of you known any Rangers who have been involved in action sports such as motocross, mountain biking, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, skydiving, etc.? As you know from my second post I love action sports and I'm curious ...

Re: Women in Combat Arms Roles
Thank you for the input Ranger Jim.
That is definitely an excellent point. Would you say that women should only be allowed into roles where they are necessary to mission success and not into areas where they are not needed such as infantry?
