Re: Seeking The Truth

Snow,
I'm sure once you get that paperwork from the hospital you'll get back on track.
Then the next thing you need to worry about is trying to convince them doctors.
My best advice is, PRACTICE THE DUCKWALK. Don't show pain, even if it hurts like hell.
Put your hands on your thighs or hips, keep ...

Re: Seeking The Truth

C-Fro,

Does it matter if I still haven't received my medical records yet? How easy is it for him to reserve me a slot? Because to add insult to injury I recall him telling me to "get on it" in terms of the medical records because he just signed up an individual for the RIP option.

I'll be honest ...

Re: Seeking The Truth

Snow,
The Recruiter should reserve you a slot for when you head to Meps.
Then at Meps, If you qualify they put it in your contract.
Sounds like your Recruiter doesn't want to do much work, so he is sending you up to Meps to let them take care of it.
In this case you could go to Meps and there ...

Re: Hello From Pa

Jeep,
You caught my eye for a couple reasons.
I live in New Oxford which is east of Gettysburg. Allentown isn't to far away.
Also, You said your recruiter is a "she" with 2 OP40 recruits???
My recruiter has 1 other Op40 recruit other than me.
Is her first name Rebecca and would this be in Hanover ...

Re: Sit-rep

Tmax,
Hope everything goes well.
I know how it feels to get DQ'd, I almost got hit because of my eyesight.
I kindly demanded for a retest and waited for more than 2 hours to get it.
Wasn't a very pleasant wait, I was going insane.
I passed the second time around.
Keep us updated, get that contract ...

Re: Vision Requirements

I know this thread is a little old, but I thought I'd share this for any others that would look at this thread in the future.
I almost got DQ'd for my eyesight, I wasn't going to settle for that.
So I demanded a retest for my eyes.
I ended up waiting an extra 2 hours for this retest, but it was ...

Ranger Jim,

I was prepared for this Assignment so I did a PT test this morning.
2 mile run: 13:45
Pushups: 56
Situps:76
Not the best, I know. But I work on it everyday.

V/R,
Corey
Well, you are right, it is not the best I've seen. But it does serve as a baseline that you can build on. Now ...

Re: Introduction

Also,
When I was a Freshman in highschool I could not do a single pushup, I couldn't do more than 22 situps and I had problems running 1/4 a mile.
Back then, I was 5'8 and almost 190 pounds.
Now, I am 5'10 and 160 pounds on the dot.
I have came a long way, and I have a long road ahead of me.
Just ...

Re: Introduction

Thanks Ranger Bill,

I'm working my butt off to be a Pt Stud.
At my work there is a full weightroom, cardio room and an olympic sized swimming pool.
Everyday I show up to work a hour early and leave a hour late, I use this time to workout.
I also run every day before school on the school's 1/4 mile ...

Introduction

Rangers,

My name is Corey. I am currently on my senior year in High School. It took me about a month to reserve an Option 40 slot, It was well worth the wait. I then went to MEPS on 20090903 and left with an 11x Option 40 contract, Also well worth the wait. I decided not to barge into your house ...
