Rangers,
I went to meps again last tuesday for my second try at a med waiver. I was informed yesterday that I was denied again. It doesn't seem as though I'll be able to make my way into the military. If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions that might allow me to enlist I am open to almost ...

Re: Introduction - James
Hello again Rangers. It has been a while since I updated the situation. My medical records, along with a letter from a civilian doctor, were sent to meps 4 weeks ago today. I spoke with the recruiter on Friday and he thinks we should hear something definitive by the end of this week. He also told me ...

Re: Introduction - James
Thank you Rock Island Ranger for your reply. Everything I have heard, read, or seen about the path I hope to take looks as if it will be very difficult but the rewards of succeeding also seem to be great. From what I can tell, I feel that the rewards seem to at least be worth an attempt on my part ...

Re: Introduction - James
Rangers. The civilian doctor I saw today says the xray of my shoulder showed a large amount of arthritis. Although he believes it could give me trouble in the future he says he is willing to help me anyway he can. I have an appointment to see the recruiter again on the 11th of this month to review ...

Hello again Rangers. I am scheduled to see a civilian doctor June 2nd who will hopefully be willing to cooperate. I told his office I would sign anything they wanted me to that would relieve them of responsibility. Thanks again for letting me participate on your site.

Re: Introduction - James
Thank you Ranger Bill for replying. I spoke to the recruiter last night, he said if I found a civilian doctor who would say I was alright it would clear the military doctors from liability and I would have a chance. I am having my records sent to a doctor now who will hopefully cooperate. He has to ...

Re: Introduction - James
Thank you Ranger Lunch. I hope there is another way I can get in. Although there is some problems in the shoulder it doesn't prevent me from functioning normally. Functioning normal enough to kick the shit out of the doctor that fucked it up in the first place. I'd actually like to abide by the "eye ...

Re: Introduction - James
Rangers,
My request for a medical waiver has been denied due to "degenerative changes" in my shoulder. Does anyone know of anything I can do now that would allow me to join or is this the end of the line?

Re: Introduction - James
Thank you Rangers for all your replies and advice. I made my first trip to MEPS on Monday the 6th. Due to multiple surgeries on one of my shoulders I was told I had to return for a consultation with another doctor. The recruiter called today and told me my appointment has been set for this Friday at ...

Re: Introduction - James
Ranger Lunch, thank you for posting. I apologize I wasn't more clear in my intro. By "If sucessful" I was meaning through the point where the individuals were assigned to a group. I have heard that as a person begins sf training they are allowed to submit a "wish list" of groups they wish to be ...

Ranger Kilted Heathen, I was simply trying to give all the details. Thank you for the advice although for some strange reason when I saw you had posted I was actually looking forward to a "shut the fuck up". Maybe another day. Thank you again for the advice.
