Ranger Grumble and Grunt:
It does seem like I'm using too much of my back.. I never really did lifts like that, to include clean and press/jerk and even big squats.. I'll be working on that tomorrow..
I did my AF PT Test yesterday and maxed out everything but the run.. 72 Push-ups/ 1-min, 58 Sit ...

I've been sort of following the WODs for the last few weeks, but work has been a bitch, since we're prepping for deployment.. I had some issues cranking out all of the elbows-to-knees, but it was worth it..
Also, my pull-ups are bitch, and I'm working on that..

Re: Protein?
I know I'm not a Ranger, but my advice about using creatine is to avoid it, if you're training to get ready to go away to Basic/Airborne/RIP.. Creatine is a performance enhancing substance, that, if you didn't know, is naturally made by your liver, and assists your muscles in getting nutrients and ...

The only part of my PT that is truly hurting is my running, in which I'm currently doing ~7min/miles, but I'm only up to 3miles so far.. I hate running, but back a bunch of years, I used to do track/soccer/hockey/football all year round, so running is something I can get back into ...

As I was reading this, I realized that I guess I might be "overweight." I'm 69", yet I weight 200lbs.. I admit that I could probably lose about 10lbs of fat, but if I lost anymore weight, I'd feek awkward.. I've always had a big frame, yet I can still run for the most part..

Copy on weights.. It'll be 35lbs today.. I guess today's goal too, is to find out where I stand in terms of my rucking skills..
BTW Zoomie, it's 12 miles on the EIB ruck.

Ranger Silverback:
Negative.. I think jumping rope with a ruck on would be kinda ridiculous.. It'd be stretching it even with a weight vest, although that would probably be safer..
Thanks, Rangers for the info!! I'm doing the ruck today. The goal is to do 4 miles, 14min/miles, 20lbs in the ruck ...

Really?? Now that you mention it, I remember when I was younger in HS, playing sports, and for hockey, the coach had us do jump rope for wrist strength/endurance as well as ankle strength/endurance(I suppose the shins too, since they are all directly connected).

The problem with all Military rucks?...they are too large and don't force packing discipline for service members or their chain of command.
