Graduated RIP class 06-08

Rangers and all others,

I guess I am the 4th to graduate this class that used this site. Going to 2/75 sometime soon and begin the steps of having to prove myself again, something I should get used to because you have to prove yourself everyday where I am going.

This site was very useful and I've ...

Rangers and all others,

Just as an update, I have graduated OSUT and am on leave untill I report for airborne on January 3rd. Last PT test was 300 with 79 pushups, 107 situps, and 12:50 run.

Obviously my run and pushups need work. I feel comfortable with my rucking abilities (as much as dumb ...

Shipping out.

Tomorrow I leave to MEPS to spend then night, then ship out the next day(20070816). I cannot say I am where I would like to be physically but it is not bad either. Mentally I am on top of my game and feel like nothing can stop me, lets just hope I keep this way all the way up to and past RIP.

Thank ...

Ranger Chiron,

Yes, it does say "option 40" and defiantly is a ranger contract. Taking the advice from other Rangers on this site the opt 40 was the first thing I looked for. When I said 11X I was implying that I am being trained as infantry instead of combat medic or a support MOS.

Ranger Bill,

Those are my intentions exactly. While my pushups and situps are lacking I can more easily fix that in OSUT by pumping them out in the barracks during downtime. Running is not as quick or easy to improve. Running at lest once a day should help bring me back to my track days when I ...

Rangers,

I can happily report in that I have obtained an US Army Airborne Ranger contract for 11X. I will be shipping out in 16 days, on 20070816. This does not leave much time for the much needed PT but I will make the most of it, hopefully quitting my job will give me the extra time I need.

All ...

As of July 12, 2007:

(I did the events in this order with a small break between each event.)

situp:70
pushup:45
pullup:10 (pullup not chinup, because to my knowledge only pullups are accepted)
2-mile run:13:47

My next step is to apply the advice in the PT section and focus more on my pushups and ...

pushups-40(I know working hardest in this area)
situps-71
2mile run-13:35(have not tested this in a ...
