Ranger Cams, I have not lost my motivation. I should be giving sitreps between each phase at a minimum and there is no excuse for not doing so.

Exedous was nice. I did a fair amount of pt over it and at the very least, maintained my gains. I have seen improvement on my run, specifically, my 5 mile run. I found it to be really difficult to keep the same level of motivation for pt without having motivated people do it with. This is something I want to improve as I will not always have a friend, cadre, or drill sergeant pushing me on.

Airborne hold is way better than I expected. Typically your own pt, hours of free time, and freedom. I read on here about so many guys talking about this and how easy it is to skip pt and sleep for hours on end. I didn't think it would be this easy though. I have definitely kept myself accountable and haven't fallen into that trap and will continue this through airborne school, which we go to tomorrow.

A lot of guys from company shipped last week. They said over 30 guys failed the pt test (the second one). I don't know how many were my friends but it basically motivated me to never be like that. Always show up to something being able to exceed the standards.

I am excited to go and I am super excited for RASP. Definitely nervous but ready.

Excellent. Good to hear, and by now you know that many will just skate by and do the minimum and up and quit for whatever reasons.
Keep working hard, everyday you do the time passes faster, you get stronger and smarter, and you're another day closer to the best Regiment in the world.

Trevor, you may find BAC to be very easy, but RASP will be one of the most difficult things you will have to complete. Never, never quit!

Roger that Ranger Jim.

BAC did turn out to be a pretty easy school, we are graduating tomorrow.

I was told we would be in pre-RASP for a while so it will give me a lot of time to improve my pt scores and overall fitness and get prepared for RASP. I need to work on my rucks and runs specifically, those are my weakest points. I am still confident I can meet the standards, however, I want exceed them instead of meet them.

Other than that, I am really exited to finally get the ball rolling and get RASP knocked out to move on to bigger and better things. At the moment, I will just be taking it one step at a time.

To Ranger Jim and all who are reading.

So I am currently in pre-rasp and have been for a few weeks. Although this is just pre rasp, it is definitely a step up from the regular army and that was immediately apparent. Everything I have read before on here is finally coming together as I'm experiencing it first hand.

I have never been more motivated, and I have been stepping up my pt. I've been doing 2 workouts a day which is something I've never really done. Overall, I've been prepping for when I get to class up, mentally, and physically and I am ready.

I will try to update this during RASP or if anything else important comes up.

Rangers,

It has been just over 3 months now and unfortunately found myself without the tan beret.

I was in pre rasp for 6 weeks, classed up and got week 3 recycled due to land nav. I lost my score card the first iteration which caused me to be one point short. I am angry at this but know that it's only my fault. I understand that this isn't a huge deal, but could be and made me take better care of equipment since then.

I was then in pre rasp for 2 weeks, classed up and got med dropped after the first week due to a shoulder injury. They said I tore my rotator cuff but I am waiting to get to my unit to get it checked in depth. Until then, I'm just taking it easy as it has been 3+ weeks and still hasn't gotten any better.

I will definitely try to get some more practice on land nav at my unit and be the best I can there. I am going to try and go to Ranger school and to get another shot in regiment as soon as possible.

I don't know where my career will take me, but all I can do is make the best with what I have so that's what I intend to do.

Ranger Jim. I am going to 25th ID and I'm not sure what I will be doing yet, I still haven't processed in, I will update y'all when I do.

An update on my arm, I got it checked at home by a family friend (doctor) and he said it was an AC joint separation. Given some good rehab and a little bit longer to heal, I shouldn't need surgery, but if it isn't looking better in the next few weeks, it seems like that might be the only option.
