Should I learn a martial arts before Army?

Postby N_hoover » September 6th, 2016, 1:22 pm

Hi there my name is Nick and I am currently a junior in high school.
I have most of my junior year and all of my senior year left to train for the army and currently I
am doing workouts for lacrosse and hockey(in the weight room) and running plus pushups/situps/pull ups.
My question is should I enlist or study a martial arts before enlisting?
Thank you and have a great day.

Who are you talking to?

Did you follow Ranger JD's advice from last Friday yet?

Cams, it was a general question to anyone on the site if that is what you are referring to?

Before you post again go back and review what the FAQ has to say about addressing Rangers on this site. For your information, Ranger Cams is a veteran of the Panama Invasion and has served as a LEO for many years. Please consider this your first warning.

Sorry Ranger Jim and Sorry Ranger Cams I missed the part on the right where it states your rank. Will not make the mistake again.

Well, I see you learned your lesson. Please continue to tell us about yourself. In my experience, I do not see much value to martial arts training. I recommend you focus your efforts on overall physical fitness. Concentrate on the APFT. Never, never quit!
