#1 Do we always have a Ranger hand book on us in RIP and Ranger school?

#2 Can I carry something other than the Issued Colt (sidearm). I heard the Colts are jamming like crazy over there in Iraq with all the dust.

Worry about basic, Airborne and RIP before your weapon. I don't remember RIP but in Ranger school you had better have the Ranger handbook with you or you will be fucked. You will need it for everything especially Op orders.
