Sorry I haven't posted in a while, there wasn't too much to report until now. I graduated RASP last Friday(class 01-19). It took me a while but I got there in the end. Trust God and as Ranger Jim said "Never, never quit!".

Think I already said this, but Congratulations brother. Easy part is over, now you have some serious work to do to earn your place in Regiment for a second time. No time to relax, keep at it.

Re: SITREP-David(atl456)
Thanks everyone, it's a privilege to be a part of this organization and brotherhood. Roger Ranger Disinfertention, I definitely have my work cut out for me.
For anyone looking to go to RASP this site is a goldmine of information and make sure to join the mentorship program. Tips I have are 1. Hit your chest to the ground and completely lock out when doing push ups. Have a friend take a video you doing push ups and make sure they are perfect. 2.This one has been hit on before but I'll hit on it again. Don't drink/dip/smoke when you're not allowed to. When you are allowed to(and old enough), drink responsibly. In my short time in the military I've seen too many guys ruin their careers because of alcohol and tobacco.

Good to see you checking in on the site, David. Sound advice all around. Do you have a general timeline for your additional schooling?

Roger Ranger Disinfertention and IntelToad. I'm in pre-SOCM right now working at the Regimental Aid Station and am projected to go to SOCM at the end of the February. Pre-socm can be boring at times but we're getting a lot of good clinical experience.

Re: SITREP-David(atl456)
Hey ATL, try not to take the down time for granted. It is way easier said than done as when I have down time I don't find myself reviewing doctrine/handbooks as much as I should be. Learning is never over. Try to take 1 hour a day to improve yourself in your profession. If that comes by direction from your leadership, great. If not take it upon yourself to knock it out.

Re: SITREP-David(atl456)
Roger Ranger Disinfertention, during my down time I would read various medical books but as you say I don't do as much as I should.
SITREP: I got up to Fort Bragg a week and a half ago and have been mainly in processing since then. We started our first day of EMT Friday taking a math test and knocking out the CPR certification. We currently have a 4 day weekend for St. Patrick's day. Our first real day of EMT starts Wednesday. I'll try to post when I can but it's going to be a busy 10 months.
