Rangers, my recruiter was able to reserve a 68W OPTION 40 with a ship date in early September. I will be going to MEPS Wednesday and will be swearing in Thursday. I've already completed the physicals so all I will have to do is weigh in. I will post the exact ship date in my signature when I get back from MEPS.

Roger Ranger Lunch. I know for a fact that I wouldn't have that contract reserved if it weren't for the Rangers on this website. I would like to thank all of the Rangers who have encouraged me and given me advice throughout the recruiting process. I still have have a long road ahead, at this point I just have the ticket reserved for the race of my life.

Rangers,
I apologize for not replying sooner. I swore in last Thursday with a 68W Option 40 contract. After I swore in I had some pretty bad anxiety. I didn’t sleep or eat until that Sunday. I think it might have been anxiety from leaving home, I’m not 100% sure. My mom’s friend’s brother, Dave Weinberg, was an officer in 1st Ranger Battalion in the 90’s. He does a lot of work with the Sua Sponte Foundation. He is a very great and Godly man. He talked with me for about an hour about the 75th Ranger Regiment and his experience. He referred me to Dr. Devin Branstetter who was a medic in 1st Ranger Battalion in the 90’s. Dr. Bransetter is also a very great and funny guy. He talked to me for about an hour as well about his time as a Ranger medic. The two of them squared me away as far as my concerns. They also gave me some very good advice and insight into life in the 75th Ranger Regiment.

Roger Ranger Jim.

PT test 20170501:
Push ups: 50
Sit ups:84
2 Mile Run:13:58
Pull ups: 12
My PT scores have definitely flat lined or in the case of push ups gone down which is unacceptable. My arms today were still smoked from a work out I did Saturday but that's not an excuse, I'm sure my whole body will be smoked when I take the pt test in RASP.

SITREP:
I registered to take the EMT-B course at my local technical college. I was lucky enough to obtain a scholarship which will pay for more than half of the cost. My last day of school is May 18th and the course starts May 22nd and ends August 2nd. It's Monday through Wednesday 8:00-4:00. From what I've heard it's a good program.
The future soldier training is physically very easy. We ran at a very slow pace and waited 2 minutes between sets of 10 push ups.
