Re: Intro: Luis
Good morning Rangers,
So I went to to Meps this past Friday and scored pretty darn low on my picat 43 and 8 points off from qualifying from option 40. I have a new recruiter who is in my point of view more understanding. Anyway, so i will be taking the full asvab next month. He tried convincing me i could get option 40 later but i said no. Still pending with LE process but taking one step at a time.
As far as a mos i am considering 35F, 35G or 35M. Any insight of any of these mos's?

All three are authorized in the Ranger Regiment. You may get some insights in the letters from school thread. Never, never quit!Garrett50 wrote: As far as a mos i am considering 35F, 35G or 35M. Any insight of any of these mos's?

Re: Intro: Luis
Thank you Ranger Jim. My recruiter called last week informing me i can retake the exam some how they were able to pull some strings?? I told him I will wait and study a bit more since my math is a little rusty with formulas. I just want to make sure I succeed. Plan A is going accordingly as well but i am excited for either option that lays ahead for me.

Sit ups- 88

I have improved!

Re: Intro: Luis
Hey Ranger Jim I'm back sorry for the long wait.
Now that I am 100% focused on moving forward I will be posting more frequently.
My process from the last test I took, I did not qualify to get a opt. 40 contract. This Friday I will be retesting. I currently qualify for 35m which is the job that now interests me the most. So I am confident that I will still have that option after testing but would like getting the opt. 40 contract reason why I am retesting. I will conduct a physical fitness test tomorrow morning and post my results.

Re: Intro: Luis
Roger Ranger Jim,
So last Friday there was a glitch on the system that would not allow me to retest until June, my recruiter fixed the issue but will retest sometime next month due to my work schedule. Gives me time to better prepare, he took my packet and will be checking if i can qualify for 35m(human intelligence collector) for t/s due to my parents being residents instead of citizens. He also mentioned since the slots are available i can enlist now and do the "fast program" once i'm in to get my gt score up and get the opt. 40 once i'm enlisted. He will be updating me when he can get that information. I also need to take care of another requirement as well.
Continued my work out today doing the 90 day ranger school preparation program I'm in phase one- foundation.
I will keep you rangers and future rangers updated as much as possible, thank you guys for the information you have provided and keeping me on my toes.

Re: Intro: Luis
Luis, capitalize Ranger.
Don't start sentences with "So" - that is annoying. Not grammatically wrong, but annoying in a metrosexual manner.
Your recruiter is trying to fast track you into an MOS so he can get you into the Army. I would await the decision of central clearance regarding your parents on whether or not you can get a TS clearance, not the opinion of the recruiter. Hold out for what you want to do. If you are a native speaker of a language, or the grew up with it, you will be an asset to the Regiment.
And capitalize Ranger.

Re: Intro: Luis
My apologies Rangers sometimes I post through my phone and this time around i missed to capitalize Ranger.
Updates, today I will be meeting with my recruiter since i was in the dark for a bit. I will be reporting updates later on today, sorry for keeping you Rangers in the dark.
I am a native speaker and that is great to hear this will be useful to the Regiment.
Been keeping up with the Ranger School Preparation workouts, all i can say is my respect to you Rangers out there! This preparation has been kicking my butt since day one. When i think i can no longer push i just say to myself "Rangers never quit" or "Never settle for less, ever" and that gets me through the work outs. I did start with less weights in the start and I am working my way up but i can definitely see the progress. I will be doing a test this Sunday and post results.
Thank you Rangers for your patience and correcting me.
