While I am here I might as well post an update. My broken ankle is healing well, and I am regaining the strength in the my left leg. Since my PT scores have remained stagnant for the last week or so, and I have been holed up not able to make it to the gym I have begun the 12 week RASP prep guide. I figure if doing it 12 weeks out sets you up for optimum results then doing it now and then training at that level for a year until I enlist will be even better. I expect my mile times to be down when I return, but that is something I can regain easily.

Ranger Jim and Ranger Fuego, to change the number of push-ups in my routine I will be adding 4 sets of 35 to my routine which will bring my daily total to 560.

Hello Rangers,

I know it has been a long time since I last posted. I decided I wanted to get my act together in terms of physical readiness and the enlistment process before I came back to this forum.

APFT update: (self assessed on 9/26/16)
PU: 87
SU:100
2-mile: 14:24
Pull-ups:21

The only thing I have left to do with the recruiter is my physical and signing a contract. I told him the only way I was signing a contract was if I got an 11B, 13F, or 68W option 40. I should be getting my physical anytime in the next week. I will update y'all on that when the time comes.

Seeing as my running times went down I will lay off the heavy squats for awhile and focus on getting those back up.

Thank you rangers for all that you have done to help me and those like me in our journey to serve our country.

I was a bit confused about not being able to project from a rug burn also. Apparently that counts as an open wound which the recruiter said would keep me from being able to do the physical.

Ranger JIm, my physical is Tuesday 2016-10-18. I hope my enlistment will be that day as well. My recruiter seems to think there will be a contract available.
