Jamie, I arrived at Fort Benning to start OCS 0n 10 July 1970. Class began Late September 1970. More than 60 days in limbo! Never, never quit!

I am now on HBL. I have been officially slotted for the first airborne class after the holiday and should graduate in late January. If I'm lucky I'll be in RASP class 2-16, but we'll see when I get there. Ryan and I are still in touch, though he is currently ahead of me. He will be at RASP while I'm at airborne.

I'm going to continue with my same PT routine over leave, but with much higher intensity. A couple miles of running every morning and a few hours of lifting every afternoon. I'm hoping to get good advice and insight from Ryan as he makes his way to Regiment.

It is a Fort Benning tradition that the first day back from HBL features brutal PT. Never, never quit!

I graduated airborne school last week and earned my wings. I'm currently at pre-RASP waiting to class up in the coming week or two.

Great SITREP.

Now, keep your head in the game.

Don't screw it up, get cocky, complacent or do anything stupid.

Don't let up, take it one day at a time and get your shit.

Keep us posted.

Roger Ranger centermass and Ranger rangerjd. I was informed just a few moments ago that I will class up just after Presidents Day. I've been running a lot with my good friend to prepare for the PT test and doughboy. I feel ready and I'm excited to finally do what I've waited so many years for. I'll do my best to keep you updated once I class up.
